Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website htacourse.com and the online course and related services offered through it (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Double Digital sp. z o.o., ul. Grzybowska 87, 00-844 Warsaw, Poland (KRS 0000979253, NIP 5273008411, REGON 522423200) ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. The Service

The Service provides access to an interactive online course in Health Technology Assessment, consisting of structured modules, lessons, interactive exercises, progress tracking and, on completion, a certificate of completion. The Service is provided for professional and educational purposes. We may update, improve, add to or modify the course content over time; the course is offered on an as-available basis, and specific content may change.

The Service is intended for users aged 18 or over. By using it, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

3. Accounts

To access the course you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, access and pricing

Access to the full course is offered on a paid annual-subscription basis. Current plans and prices are shown on the Pricing page and may include individual, team and organisational tiers. Prices are stated on the site and may be exclusive or inclusive of applicable taxes as indicated at checkout.

Individual plans grant access to a single named user. Access and login credentials may not be shared between individuals.

Team and organisational plans grant access to the specified number of users; the account administrator is responsible for managing seats and ensuring users comply with these Terms.

Subscription period. Unless stated otherwise, a subscription grants access for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase, including content updates released during that period.

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive twelve (12)-month periods at the then-current price for your plan, unless you cancel before the end of the current period. We will charge your payment method on file at each renewal. Before each renewal we will remind you by e-mail in advance, stating the renewal date and price, so you can decide whether to continue.

Cancelling. You can cancel automatic renewal at any time before the renewal date through your account settings or by contacting us; cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep access until then. Cancelling does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund of the current period (see Section 8).

Price changes. If we change the renewal price, we will notify you in advance of the renewal so that you can cancel before it takes effect if you do not accept the new price.

5. Payment

Payments are processed exclusively by our third-party payment provider, Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. ("Stripe"). We never receive or store your full payment card number, CVC or similar card data; these are collected and processed directly by Stripe on its own PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure. By completing a purchase you also accept Stripe's own terms and privacy policy, and you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method you provide, including for automatic renewals of your subscription.

All prices are stated in euro (EUR) unless indicated otherwise. VAT and any other applicable taxes are calculated and displayed at checkout based on the country and, where provided, the VAT identification number you enter; you are responsible for the accuracy of the billing and tax details you supply. Invoices are issued by us for each purchase.

You are responsible for providing valid, current payment information and for keeping it up to date for renewals. If a payment fails, is charged back, disputed or otherwise reversed, we may immediately suspend or withdraw access to the course until the amount due is settled in full, and we may recover any fees, charges or costs reasonably incurred by us in connection with a chargeback that is found to be unjustified. Initiating a chargeback instead of contacting us first does not remove your obligations under these Terms.

Fraudulent or unauthorised payment activity, or the use of a payment method you are not entitled to use, is grounds for immediate termination of access without refund and may be reported to Stripe and the competent authorities.

6. Licence to use the course

Subject to these Terms and payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the course content for your own personal, professional learning during your subscription period. This licence is personal to you (or, for team/organisational plans, to each authorised user).

7. Intellectual property and acceptable use

All course content — including text, lessons, scripts, exercises, case studies, quizzes, models, templates, calculators, graphics, diagrams, images, audio and video materials, downloadable files, interactive elements, source code, and the structure, sequence, selection and arrangement of the curriculum — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property laws. No ownership rights are transferred to you at any point; you receive only the limited licence described in Section 6.

Except as expressly permitted in writing by us, you may not:

  • copy, reproduce, duplicate, republish, upload, post, transmit, distribute, sell, resell, licence, sub-licence, rent, lend or otherwise commercially exploit any part of the course, in whole or in part, in any medium;
  • record, screenshot, screen-capture, film, photograph or otherwise make any audio or visual reproduction of lessons, videos or interactive materials;
  • share, sell or transfer your account, password or access link, or allow any other person to access the course using your credentials — access is strictly personal and per named user;
  • use one paid seat for more than one individual, or rotate a seat between individuals;
  • download, mirror, cache, scrape, crawl, harvest, index or systematically extract content, whether manually or using any bot, script, automated tool, browser extension or artificial-intelligence agent, except where the Service expressly offers a download function;
  • use any part of the content to train, fine-tune, evaluate or ground any machine-learning model, large language model or AI system, or to feed it into any such system;
  • create derivative works, adaptations, translations, summaries, transcripts or compilations of the content, or use it to develop, deliver or market any competing or similar course, training, consultancy or product;
  • present, teach, broadcast, stream or otherwise make the content available to any group, class, organisation or audience, whether free of charge or for a fee;
  • remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark, watermark or proprietary notice;
  • circumvent, disable, reverse-engineer or otherwise interfere with any access control, authentication, watermarking, rate-limiting or security measure protecting the Service;
  • use the Service unlawfully, or in any way that disrupts, overloads or harms it, our infrastructure or other users.

Monitoring and enforcement. We may log and monitor account activity, including login locations, IP addresses, devices, concurrent sessions and unusual download or access patterns, in order to detect credential sharing, automated extraction and other abuse. Content and certificates may carry visible or invisible identifiers linking a copy to the account it was accessed from, so that leaked material can be traced to its source.

Where we detect a breach of this Section, we may — at our sole discretion and without prior notice — restrict, suspend or permanently terminate access to the Service for the account concerned and for all users under the same team or organisational plan, without any refund of fees paid. We further reserve all rights to pursue civil claims for damages and injunctive relief, to demand removal of infringing material, and to notify or refer the matter to the competent authorities. Any unauthorised commercial use additionally obliges you to compensate us for the resulting loss, including the value of the licences that would have been required.

Feedback and user submissions. Any comments, answers, reviews or other material you submit through the Service must be your own and must not infringe third-party rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use such submissions for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

8. Right of withdrawal, and no refunds

The Service gives you immediate access to digital content and online educational services as soon as your purchase is confirmed.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you would normally have fourteen (14) days to withdraw from a distance contract. However, at checkout you expressly request immediate access to the course and expressly acknowledge that, once we begin providing the Service (that is, as soon as access is granted), you lose your right of withdrawal. You give this consent knowingly as a condition of gaining immediate access. Accordingly, purchases are non-refundable, and fees already paid for a current subscription period are not refunded, including if you cancel automatic renewal or stop using the Service.

This does not affect your mandatory statutory rights. In particular, if the Service is faulty, materially fails to conform to its description, or is not provided as required by law, you remain entitled to the remedies available to you as a consumer under applicable law (which may include repair, a price reduction, or a refund in respect of the non-conforming service). "No refunds" applies to a change of mind after access has begun; it does not exclude your rights where the Service itself is defective or not delivered.

9. Availability, and no professional advice

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may suspend it for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. The course is educational. It provides general information about Health Technology Assessment and does not constitute legal, financial, medical, regulatory or other professional advice, and must not be relied on as such. You are responsible for how you apply what you learn.

10. Certificate of completion

On completing the course, you receive a certificate of completion issued by us. It records that you have completed the course. It is not an academic degree or a formal professional qualification, and does not by itself confer any regulated status or credit unless expressly stated.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including a consumer's mandatory statutory rights.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if payment is not made, or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your licence to use the course ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

13. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may modify the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a material change, you should stop using the Service.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of Poland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you, as a consumer, are habitually resident. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts for our registered office in Warsaw, Poland, again without prejudice to any right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

15. Contact
